Hi, I’m Catey Rice. Photographer, designer, educator, and creative storyteller based in beautiful rural Wisconsin. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the way images and design can capture emotion, connection, and meaning. What started as a passion for photographing families in my home state of Arizona has grown into a full creative studio offering photography, branding, and custom design services for families, small businesses, and community organizations.
As a photographer, I specialize in creating images that feel authentic and effortless. Photos that reflect the real moments, personalities, and stories behind them. Whether I’m photographing a family session, a milestone moment, or a brand’s visual identity, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels warm, genuine, and true to who you are.
As a designer, I bring a clean, modern, and intentional aesthetic to everything I create. I love blending creativity with strategy, designing visuals that not only look beautiful but also communicate purpose, elevate brands, and make life just a little more organized and inspiring. From custom marketing graphics to polished brand assets, my work is rooted in clarity, functionality, and storytelling.
Beyond the creative world, I’m also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), owner of Bright Connections Behavioral, a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Criminal and Justice Studies, and, most importantly, a mom of three energetic boys. Those roles shape everything I do, from my attention to detail, to my passion for connection, to my belief in meeting people right where they are. Creativity and compassion are at the center of my work, and I’m grateful to blend both into my photography and design.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
I bought my first DSLR camera in high school and quickly became the go-to photographer for all my friends. What began as a creative hobby turned into a lifelong passion. More than twenty years later, I love photography more now than ever. Over the years, I’ve expanded from capturing meaningful moments to creating custom designs that bring visions to life.
Catey Rice Photography & Design was born from that blend, storytelling through both images and intentional design. Whether it’s a family session, brand shoot, or logo concept, I bring heart, creativity, and attention to detail to everything I do.
